Alexii is a browser extension that assists with legal research on CanLII. It reads case text from CanLII pages you visit and uses AI to help you chat with cases, generate briefs, compare decisions, and build arguments.
None. Alexii has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. We do not collect any personal information or usage data.
Alexii uses Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save:
This data never leaves your browser. It is not synced to any external service and is deleted when you uninstall the extension.
When you use Alexii's AI features, case text from the CanLII page you are viewing is sent to the AI provider you configure:

Your API key is stored locally on your device in Chrome's extension storage. It is only used to authenticate requests directly to your chosen AI provider. It is never transmitted anywhere else.
Alexii is a professional legal research tool and is not directed at children under 13.
